Pawscription is built on a simple principle: your pet's data belongs to you and only you. We designed the app so that we are technically incapable of accessing your data — because we never receive it in the first place.
1. Summary
We collect zero data. Pawscription has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The app works entirely offline: no internet connection is required to use any feature.

3. What Is Stored
All information you enter is stored exclusively on your device using a local database:
- Pets: name, species, breed, weight and photo
- Medication history, reminders, and dose records
- Health observations and veterinary appointments
- Veterinarian contact information
- App settings
The local database is encrypted with SQLite3 Multiple Ciphers using a key generated on the device. That key is stored wrapped with an AES-GCM key from the system's key store (Android Keystore, in StrongBox where the device supports it), and the wrapped bytes live in the app's private storage; on iOS, that key is stored directly in the Keychain, with this-device-only protection. We have no access to that key or to your data, and it never leaves your device. If you uninstall the app, it is permanently deleted.
4. No Servers, No Account
Pawscription has no servers of its own and no user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login and no cloud sync. No data is ever sent to the developer.
5. Device Permissions
Each permission is optional and used only for its stated purpose, always on your device:
- Notifications: to alert you of each dose at its scheduled time.
- Exact alarms: so that alert arrives punctually and the system does not delay it.
- Calendar: only if you sync your veterinary appointments with your device's calendar.
The app never requests camera or microphone access.
6. Third Parties and Web Infrastructure
The app uses no third-party services: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking.
This website does rely on two providers: Vercel (USA, CDN and deployment, under EU→US Standard Contractual Clauses) and Hostinger (Lithuania, EU). They process web access logs only, for 30 days at most.
App distribution is handled by Google Play and the App Store, which manage installation independently under their own privacy policies.
7. Your Rights
Because all data is stored locally and we have no access to it, you exercise your rights directly through the app:
- Access and rectification (Art. 15, 16): view and edit your data in the app at any time.
- Erasure (Art. 17): delete any record individually, or use Settings › Delete All Data for complete, irrecoverable deletion of all local data.
- Portability (Art. 20): export and import your data in JSON format from Settings.
- Restriction and objection (Art. 18, 21): we process no personal data, so neither applies.
- Automated decisions (Art. 22): none are made.
- Complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Spain: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
8. Legal Basis

10. Children
Pawscription is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). Since we collect no data and have no user accounts, we have no way to identify the age of users. All data can be deleted directly from the device at any time.
11. Changes and Contact
If we ever introduce features that change these practices (such as optional crash reporting or cloud backup), we will update this policy and notify users in the app before the changes take effect.
